Education & Experience
With over 50 years of experience as a guitarist, educator, and music professional, I bring a deep and versatile musical background to every lesson. I have taught guitar at all levels — from beginners to advanced players, children to adults — through private instruction, classroom settings, and ensemble coaching in Kansas City, Denver, and Northern Colorado.
As a former adjunct guitar instructor at Campion Academy and longtime private lesson teacher, I draw on trusted methods including A Modern Method for Guitar by William Leavitt, Jerry Snyder’s Guitar School, and approaches by Christopher Parkening, Mel Bay, and others — tailoring each lesson to the individual student’s goals and learning style.
My background also spans recording engineering, music direction for Catholic parishes, choir singing, session work, and a paid studio internship — giving me a rich, real-world perspective on music that goes far beyond the basics.
