Lesson Rates
- $30 per half hour.
- $110 per four half hour lessons.
- Cash, check, and Venmo accepted as payment.
- 24 hours notice (except for emergencies) required to not be charged for lesson.
Education & Experience
Greetings! My name is Forrester Tamkun and I am a local Fort Collins’ music instructor and musician. I have taught and played music professionally since age 15, instructing for multiple organizations including School of Rock, The Matthews House, Boredom Fighters, Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, and more. I have played in multiple Fort Collins’ bands, including Write Minded, Lewis Turner, and Lunafide. I have a degree in Recording Arts Technologies and have independently studied under renowned instructors, most notably Ellen Audley and Jason Kooms.
My music lessons will be catered to the individual, focusing on what the student wants to learn, while branching out with supplement material and theory knowledge. We will learn songs of interest, and then use them as vehicles for in depth exploration into techniques, different genres, theoretical concepts, and historical impact. My lessons always aim to keep the student’s passions in mind while also exposing and bringing awareness to a wide variety of musical styles and methods. Music has changed my life, and it’s one of the most rewarding things for me to give that back to others.
