Bio

Ward Durrett is a percussionist, educator and innovator in marching and indoor percussion, recognized for pioneering competitive percussion activities as well as performing with prominent jazz ensembles.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy’s Midwest Showband, he currently performs with both the Denver Hot Tomatoes Jazz Orchestra and Ft. Collins own Colorado Swing Big Band. He has collaborated with notable musicians and entertainers such as pianists Gary Dempsey and Doug Roche, singer Carol Lawrence and band leaders Bob Crosby, Ray Eberly, Les Elgart, Ray McKinley and the Guy Lombardo Orchestra.
